Showcase Sunday (1)

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme, hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea, for sharing our newest books or book related swag
and to see what everyone else bought, borrowed or received for review this week.

I don't have as much reading time as I would like now that the school term has started up but of course
that won't stop me from picking up more books.
I found a used bookstore in the downtown area this week and there was a sale going on... I couldn't help myself.
I did endure my first full week of lectures after all. I think I deserved it. ;)

Books I've bought and won:

Books borrowed from the library:                                                        Books given for review:

It was my first experience in a used bookstore.
Can you believe I bought three romantic suspense books (Night's Landing, Bloodlines and Watch Me) for only $3?
o___o <--- My expression when they were ringing it through and this video shows how I felt perfectly.
It took a lot of will power to not purchase more but I've already gotten lots of other books to read so I had to limit myself.
I also have my mini YA haul from the library. I've heard good things about both so I'm very excited to dive into them :D

  1. I love romantic suspense so I hope you find a winner with one of those. I have Dirty Angels as well, but I've been a little nervous to pick it up because of the torture scenes. I enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss, I even rated it 5 stars, but I think if I picked it up today, Etienne's behavior would piss me off. Still, great story! Enjoy your books, Jennifer! :)

  2. Ooh, fantastic haul! I loved charity shops, book exchanges and second hand bookshops.
Hope you enjoy Throne of Glass - the second book is waaaay better and it's worth reading the first just so you understand the second.

  3. Oh, that means you'll finally get to read Throne of Glass. How wonderful! Anna is one I want to read badly but now I'm in a 2014 published books marathon or ARCs. ».« Though I do some exceptions...anyways, excited to read your reviews!

  4. Awesome haul!! Isn't awesome when you find bargains :) They all look really good and I hope you enjoy. I still need to read Throne Of Glass even though its sitting on my shelf since it first came out.
