(Quote from Breathe by Kristen Ashley)

Faye appears in Kristen Ashley's Colorado Mountains series as the heroine of Breathe (book 4):
(Click cover for Goodreads links)
Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Suspense

♥ Favorite swear word: "Frak"
♥ Had a crush on Chase Keaton since she was sixteen
♥ Master's degree in Library Science
♥ Claims Firefly as the best tv show ever
♥ Enjoys chatting with online friends, 'Benji' and 'Serenity'
♥ Always stuck to a book/ereader
♥ Well versed in Star Wars and knows her way around Wookieepedia
♥ Was a 29-year old virgin

ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE KA READS!!
I had Ella Mae Bowen's 'Holding Out For A Hero' on repeat after finishing this book.
The scene that introduced the song to me though... oh man *sniff sniff*.
Faye was Chase's knight in shining armor just as much as he was hers.
She's joyful and bright. She could be shy and reserved, then straight-up bad-ass with a backbone.
She's so unintentionally hilarious (even when she's angry) too!
She'll have you smiling like mad with how adorable she is.

Have you read Breathe?
If you have, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Faye (or even the book/series).
If not, I highly recommend it to any and all contemporary romance lovers!

  2. Faye sounds awesome! I don't read much contemporary romance but I may just have to give it a try. Just reading her quote on calling out someone with a lightsaber makes me see why you chose Faye for this week:)

  5. OMG, yes, Jennifer!!! I LOVE Faye. Breathe is tied for my favorite Colorado Mtn series book with Sweet Dreams. Faye is just awesomesauce! Her sci-fi ranting was so much fun and I got all of it because I'm a super fan to Star Wars, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, and Battlestar Galactica! As if that wasn't enough, she was a major bookworm too. Faye spoke to my heart! Brilliant choice, Jennifer!! :)

  6. Jennifer, this sounds so good and I don't read much contemporary romance so I might check this out. Can "Breathe" be read as a stand-alone even though goodreads says its part of a series? Are the other books in the series good?

    1. Breathe can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Though the characters do pop up in the other books, you don't need to read them to understand the story. They're all just set in the same town :) I absolutely loved the first four (book two, Sweet Dreams and book four, Breathe) being my favorites! Now that I think about it, I think they're my favorites because out of them all, these had suspense haha.
