Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2014

- - - Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme, hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, where a new topic is given for a top ten list - - -

1. Krista and Becca Ritchie
Authors of the Addicted series and Calloway Sisters series
Creators of my OTP, Lily and Loren
And Connor and Rose. AND Ryke and Daisy.
I can't believe it hasn't even been a full year since I became addicted (heh) to their work!

2. Colleen Hoover
Author of the Slammed series, Hopeless series, Maybe Someday and Ugly Love
I don't know how I haven't read her books until this year (late this year).
Absolutely loved Maybe Someday, there is a CoHo binge in my future.

3. Veronica Rossi
Author of Under the Never Sky series
Creator of my OTP, Perry and Aria
Currently my favorite YA fantasy series! Full of adventure, action, friendship and FEELS.

4. Lex Martin
Author of the Dearest series
Fun and amusing. I really enjoyed the first book in the series and will be diving into the others soon!
Plus, Gavin Murphy <33

5. Katja Millay
Author of The Sea of Tranquility
Why does she only have one book?!??! *cries*
Beautiful writing and a wonderful meaning behind the story. I need more from her.

6. Nina Lane
Author of the Spiral of Bliss series
Creator of my OTP, Dean and Liv
One of my favorite adult contemporaries ever, so sweet and heart-warming.
I love that it's centers around a married couple and that the "happy-ever-after" isn't an end.

7. Rebecca Zanetti
Author of Sins Brother series, Dark Protector series and Maverick Montana series
I've only read the first book in the Sins Brother series but it was spectacular!
Great suspense and action. Looking forward to reading her other books.

10. Michelle Hodkin
Author of the Mara Dyer series
Book one pretty much blew my mind but I have yet to continue with the series!
It's on my to-do list for January because Noahhhhhhh <3

9. Rainbow Rowell
Author of Fangirl, Eleanor & Park, Landlines and Attachments
I read Fangirl a few weeks ago and fell in love with the story and its characters, especially Levi!
Will definitely be checking out her other books as well :D

10. A.C. Bextor
Author of the Lights of Peril series and Devil's Despair series.
I read the first book in the Devil's Despair series and loved it!
I will probably read her earlier work some time next year.

  2. OOOOOOOBVIOUSLY Krista and Becca. No list about favorite authors and brilliance is complete without them! CoHo and Katja Millay are New Adult goddesses--that is all. AND OMG DON'T EVEN START WITH VERONICA ROSSI I AM HEART EYES ALL AROUND. I loved Fangirl as well, but I wasn't a fan of E&P, so definitely not recommending that, but um, I want to read Attachments? Heh. Michelle Hodkin and The Evolution is all you need in your life in January tbh. GET ON IT, JEN!

  7. The Sea of Tranquility!! SIGHHH I love that book. Exactly my thoughts, why has she written only one book.
And of course, Krista & Becca would top my list to for 2014 new-to-me authors as well.
I've read Slammed and Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover but I need to read Maybe Someday because that seems to be everyone's fav.
    Great list Jae!

    1. Omg, yes you do please. I don't have much to go by since it was my first CoHo book but it's definitely one of my top favorite NA books. Plus, it had a soundtrack to go with it. Boom, mind-blown. I really hope you enjoy it too! I need to pick up Slammed soon. :)
