Manga is a big love of mine. A few of my all-time favorites are Yona of the Dawn, Red River, Full Moon, Ao Haru Ride, Daytime Shooting Star and Sweat & Soap. I just love the art so much. I've also started really getting into comic books/graphic novels these days. How could Saga leave off on such a cliffy before hiatus? Gahh. Webtoons are dominating my heart lately. Top faves at this time include Positively Yours, A Villainess for a Tyrant and Suddenly I Became a Princess.
If I'm not talking books/manga, I'm talking anime—Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood being the top one I constantly push on others and rewatch! My Hero Academia and Bungo Stray Dogs have been getting better and better with each season. Sports anime is my guilty pleasure. I won't watch sports otherwise hah. PSA: Everyone watch Spy x Family!!!
I like to play the piano and sing. Music plays a big role in my life so I absolutely love books that have a musical aspect to them. Some of my favorite artists include Sam Smith, Tori Kelly, Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara and The Backstreet Boys (woooo for boy bands of the 90s!). I'm also a big fan of Kpop. Top favorites include BTS, TWICE, Red Velvet, Ateez, Seventeen, BTOB, Taeyeon and IU. I could go on and on though.
Random fact: I was the owner of a very stubborn yet adorable Siberian Husky, Tidus. He passed earlier this year but remains forever in our hearts. R.I.P.
Anyway, that's me in a nut shell. Bookish Bluebird will predominantly be about books that I'm currently reading, have read or hope to read. I'm debating whether I'll post my DNF/low stars here or keep them on Goodreads. I've come to the point where I'd rather spend my time reading books I enjoy then sludge through something I'm not. 5 STARS: It was amazing and I loved it oh so very much. I'd throw it in your face if it didn't damage the book **Reread forever material**
4 STARS: It was great and I really really liked it! There was one or two aspects in the book that hit me funny. I'd still recommend it to my neighbour and the cute cashier at the bookstore.
3 STARS: It was good and pretty enjoyable. I likely wouldn't reread it and probably wouldn't really remember what it was about.
2 STARS: It was an okay read. There were a lot of aspects that did not go over well with me.
1 STAR/DNF: This book was not for me. No thank you. There were too many alarm bells going off in my head.
