Blog Scheduling

Hello loves!

It's officially been about 6 months since I started this blog *dances* :D What I've noticed as a newbie is how difficult it is to stay active and post daily. I never had a plan. I pretty much winged everything the night before haha. But now I've read so many books, all of which I will review eventually, I have no clue where to start.

At the beginning of January I had started writing down in my university agenda (I never used it before anyway) when I would post reviews and such. Only to find that I'd get sad when I didn't end up posting said review and having to re-write my agenda entries over again. But I've found a way that I'm enjoying so far. Big thanks to Danielle at Sew Much Crafting for this 'Post Calendar' idea!! You can see how she made it here.

What I like about the Post Calendar is how colorful it is. Color makes me happy. With some editing on photoshop I was able to make a 2015 calendar. The top selling point for me was that I can rearrange posts easily if I don't end up posting something!! Hallelujah.Yellow post-its are for review. Blue ones are for blog tours/promo posts. Pink is for memes/features. Orange post-its are for miscellaneous posts. I'm by no means posting every day but I like that it helps me stay on task without the stress of having to re-do everything. Plus it's kind of fun to work with haa. Once I've published a post, I write it down on the calendar. That way, I can look back and see how my year is going blog-wise. :)

Do you use a calendar too? I've heard some people use spread sheets. Do you publish reviews as you finish writing them or schedule them months ahead? I'd love to hear what methods other bloggers like best! Bravo to all the bloggers that post frequently/daily (a lot of my favs do) because you are my life goal ;D

I'm a huge fan of the tv show 'The Voice". Current favorite is Treeva Gibson. She has such a hauntingly beautiful tone, I thought she sang Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful very well. Blake's comments were spot on!

  1. Congrats on your 6 month blogoversary! I totally have to have a calendar to keep track of all my posts and reviews! I keep mine on my computer calendar where it sends me a reminder the day before in case I forget. It is the best thing invented and I have to use if for my blog, if not I would be a complete mess!

I'm terrible with schedules so I actually don't have one myself (but I try to post something every few days) but I so admire yours. Especially since it's colour coded! Haha :)

    1. LILY!! Thank you, love! I can't believe time went by so quickly omg. I'm actually surprised you don't follow some sort of schedule because your posts are so timely to me. You're a magician. That is my conclusion.

  3. Congrats on six months!!

I have to admit I'm one of the less organised bloggers. I don't have spreadsheets or calendars or even schedules! I'm far more whimsical and apart from always posting reviews on a Friday, I don't really have any other kind of 'rules'.
