OwlCrate - May Box (Parallel Worlds)

Hii, you darlings! I received my first monthly book subscription box a few days ago and I thought I'd share with you some photos and my thoughts! :D I had mentioned in a Week in the Nest post that I signed up for OwlCrate, a monthly YA book subscription service, and that it appealed to me because each month was focused on a theme. These monthly boxes will contain a highly anticipated new YA release and 3-5 bookish goodies. Every once in a while they will ship an adult novel that's been embraced by the YA community. The May box theme was Parallel Worlds and was said to contain an Urban Fantasy YA novel.

Overall presentation: Wonderful! A++. The box itself has the logo and cute little prints on the side. The inside cover of the box had a very cute "Guide to Unboxing" images. Even the bottom of the box had an image of an owl with a sweet little message (I forgot to take a photo of it! -_____-'). I loved that their info card went with the theme though. And the confetti added an extra special oomph! ARGH EVERYTHING WAS JUST SO ADORABLE.

Content: I'm in love!!! I'm just going to post the images of the goodies and quote the info card :D
Little side note: I've recently started getting into shopping on Etsy (everything there is amazing and many of the items are handmade!). So, I loved OwlCrate introduces you to some bookish shops that you may not have heard of before. Plus, the goodies I received also came with promo codes for a discount on your next purchase! Woooot wooot.

"The life of a book lover is full of different worlds to discover and we want you to be able to jot down your thoughts on each of them! As such, we've included an awesome notebook from Obvious State in this month's OwlCrate!"

"Is there a more beautiful, twisted, alternate world that Wonderland? We think not. This is why we have included stunning tattoos featuring artwork from the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. These were created specially for us by SmashTat!"

"Now for something truly different. Crack open your Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty, and see just how magical it becomes! This unique putty changes color from the warmth of your hands. You can also squeeze it, stretch it or bounce it off the wall to relieve stress when you find yourself in literary peril!"

"Travel to a world unlike any other you've experienced in Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley! In this groundbreaking novel you'll embark on a journey with Aza as she discovers that our world is not what it seems, and that she is more powerful than she could have ever imagined. This novel is truly unique, and we hope you enjoy exploring Magonia! We've also included a signed bookplate and exclusive bookmark just for you!"
[Side note: That cover is so beautiful //heart eyes]

How gorgeous is that cover? The bookmark says "My heart is half on earth, half in the clouds.". Overall, I'd say this was one fantastic box and I'm going to stick with it for a while! They also have the option of skipping a shipment if you're not particularly interested in that month's theme, This will be me if I see a Horror theme. I'd recommend it to any reader interested in book subscriptions or wanting to try. As with all monthly book subscription boxes I noticed, it's costly but I think it's worth it. Especially if you're from the US/CAN because shipping is pretty good. The June box theme is Diversity. I can't wait! :D

I remember adding Magonia to my tbr because of the cover. After reading the blurb though, it does sound pretty cool!
Have you read Magonia? Are you signed up for any monthly book subscription?
