Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollin's ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there. But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but it will it lead to a connection of the heart?

"When it comes to matters of the heart, you decided where you belong and you go be there."
Deep tells the story of Ben, the bassist of Stage Dive, and Lizzy who is Anne's younger sister. Ben has been an enigma throughout the series. He never does anything to catch your attention and he was always running off being mysterious. Needless to say, I was intrigued in getting to know more about this bearded hunk of a man. Then there's Lizzy. She seemed like the sweet and shy type so it was a pleasant surprise to see she had some spunk. Deep starts in present time, revealing Lizzy's pregnancy, before going back to explain how Ben and Lizzy's relationship began. They never spent time together face-to-face because of how adamant Mal was in keeping Ben away from his sister-in-law. They grew closer via texts and phone calls. I really enjoyed the beginning of their friendship but the back and forth between them later on exhausted me.

Stage Dive is one of my all-time favorite rock star romance series. These books are filled with humor (A LOT of humor), sexiness and heart-warming moments. I loved the friendships, especially the bromance (Mal + anyone is a delight!!). I was incredibly excited to start Deep but at the same time, it was bittersweet knowing that it was the final book in the series. I've grown quite attached to these guys so I'll miss them terribly, but I'm silently praying that we'll see small cameos of them in Kylie Scott's upcoming Dive Bar series *crosses fingers*.

"Come what may, I could only depend on myself."
It wasn't hard to see that Ben cared about Lizzy. Besides not wanting to break his promise to Mal by hooking up with her, Ben lives for music. He loves the process of writing and spending long hours putting it all together. In his mind, being in a serious relationship with anyone would take time away from his work, so he didn't want to be in one. There came a point where I felt Lizzy being anything more than just a friend was an inconvenience to him. I was glad that Ben was willing to take responsibility and offered to support her. I just didn't like how he went about doing so and Lizzy kept getting strung along by his indecision. It made me sad because when Ben actually committed to being there for her, he was sweet and swept me off my feet. Had he gotten his act together much sooner, I would have been incredibly happy.
The secondary characters were the highlight of this book. Being reunited with David, Ev, Mal, Anne (and Killer), Jimmy and Lena was wonderful. Jimmy and Lena are one of my favorite bookish couples, so you could imagine how much my heart fluttered with their story progression in Deep. I also loved Vaughn who was introduced in this book and I'm so excited to hear that the first book of the Dive Bar series would be his story *squeee*. Overall, although it didn't end off with a bang for me, the Stage Dive series is still very refreshing and amusing, and I would recommend it to everyone!
"Sweetheart, you've been important since day one. Only girl I kept coming back to.
Didn't matter how far I ran, I couldn't get you off my mind."

His laughter, it didn't really sound the smallest bit amused. "Christ. You're done here."
"Ah, no. I'm actually not. Now see, this is where we have a problem." I folded my arms. Then unfolded them because like fuck I'd look defensive. He was the one in the wrong, not me. "You're not prepared to take me, or my feelings, seriously. What you want is to hide away in Mr. Too Cool for Commitment land and just play with my affections when it suits you. Okay, I've accepted that. But none of that means it's okay for you to come in here and act like you're the boss of me. None of it."
"That so?" he asked, leaning down so that we were almost nose to nose.
"That's so, baby." I play-punched him in the shoulder, which it should be noted, I barely came up to. Okay, so maybe the alcohol on a mostly empty stomach had made me slightly/lots braver/sillier. "So why don't you take your little caveman jealous tantrum bullshit somewhere else. See, I do this funny thing I like to refer to as whatever the fuck I want. Understand?"
He just stared.
"And as pretty as you are with your beard and your muscles, you are too damn tricky and...complicated and shit for me."
"I am?"
"Yes, you are. Are you finally seeing my point here?"
"You bet."
"Excellent. So take your hotness elsewhere, kind sir. I want no part of it!" Huh. I had so told him. Drunken bravado was the best.

I liked this book for the most part, I thought the pregnancy aspect was different in rockstar romance books. I loved Ben's character, Lizzy annoyed me sometimes quite a bit. Lovely review overall! Love the quotes you have picked out :) Benish| Feminist Reflections
