Recap + Giveaway: Sexy in the City Toronto Author Event

Hello loves! I went to my first big author event last Saturday and boy did I have a blast :D It was incredibly overwhelming, but thank goodness I was able to meet up with Patty from Bookish Wanderlove so I wasn't alone in my fangirling! I'll be recapping my experience at Sexy in the City Toronto in this post and share some photos. Don't forget to enter the giveaway at the end for some ebooks and awesome swag :)

So this was my first time taking the greyhound bus to Toronto alone. It really did feel like I was on some epic adventure haha. Toronto has street performers/artist, you guys, and they were so talented!! I wish I had taken a photo of them. The venue for SITC was gorgeous. If only the lighting had been brighter, but I guess the dimness added to the ambiance of the ballroom.

I didn't realize how exhausting an author event could be? And we didn't even make it to all the tables! Patty and I arrived early so we sat outside the doorway and I spotted KA Tucker right away *heart eyes*. She was the first table I ran went to.  I tried to play it cool, I really did, but pretty sure I failed. Same with Helena Hunting who was so wonderful and witty. We also met the very sweet Jen from Tangled in Books. Her love of Cora Carmack has convinced me to start her Rusk University series. I can't wait to dive in! Cora was so endearing and funny when we spoke with her. I got to meet Jean Kelso in person. She's such a sweetheart!! I knew of her before she became and author because of our shared love of the Addicted series heheh. I really need to start One Simple Memory soon. It's been sitting in my kindle library for a while now ahhhh. Alice C. Hart was a hoot. I don't remember how it started but we had the longest discussion about dark erotic romance novels starting with Bang by EK Blair lol. It was such a blast meeting so many new (to me) authors: CJ Wells, RC Stephens, Cori Williams, Dawn Martens, Cara Addison, Susan Cairns, Shawnté Borris, Angela Ford, Marianne MaguireHarlow Stone, Nashoda Rose, Livia Jamerlan, Freya Barker, Ren Alexander, Tricia Daniels, Kayleigh Malcolm, JM Walker, SR GreyDouglas J. McLeod, Adriane Leigh, Deborah Cooke, Elisabeth Grace, and Kahlen Aymes. I really hope that I'll get the chance to meet the ones we missed at another signing! My arms were sore by the time I was on the greyhound back home haa.
