Top Ten All-Time Favorite Authors

- - - Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme, hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, where a new topic is given for a top ten list - - -

This was so incredibly hard but I've narrowed it down!! And I'm sticking with my automatic read adult/new adult romance authors. You can click their name to check out their website or the covers image for their goodreads page. For this list I'll mention the books/series I've read of theirs that won me over and their genres (if it's not contemporary). :)

1. Kristen Ashley
She is my Adult Contemporary Romance queen. Reading her books is like coming home.
I can always depend on KA to give me swoony alphas and sassy heroines.
[Read and loved: Rock Chick series, The 'Burg series, Colorado Mountain series,
Fantasyland series (parallel worlds), The Three series (pnr), Dream Man series, The Chaos series and The Will]

2. Krista & Becca Ritchie
These twins are a superwriting duo who have quickly shot up as my top favorite New Adult Contemporary Romance authors!
They excel at writing family and friendship dynamics. You'll fall with their characters in a flash.
[Read and loved: Addicted series, Calloway Sisters series (spin-off) and Amour Amour]

3. Pamela Clare
Currently my fave-of-faves Romantic Suspense author! I have read and enjoyed one of her historical romance books too.
Her writing style is mesmerizing and her characters have all been amazing. She gives the perfect amount of suspense and steam!
[Read and loved: I-Team series and Surrender (MacKinnon's Rangers #1, historical)]

4. J.M. Darhower
Her writing really sucks you in and I love how her characters blur the line between good and bad.
[Read and loved: Sempre and Made]

5. Mia Sheridan
Her books are emotional and thought-provoking. Her characters and stories have so much depth. I'm continually left in awe.
[Read and loved: Leo, Leo's ChanceArcher's Voice and Becoming Calder (Part 1 of the Aquarius story)]

6. Jay McLean
Her stories pack an emotional punch with just the right amount of humor!
[Read and loved: More series (Except More Than Enough because it's not published yet ahhh)]

7. E.M. Abel
This author is a hidden gem. Her characters are strong-willed and real. I love how spunky all her heroines have been too!
[Read and loved: Breaking Free series]

8. Jill Shalvis
If you're ever looking for a light and enjoyable read, Jill Shalvis is your lady! Her stories have always been sweet and touching.
[Read and loved: Animal Magnetism series and Lucky Harbor series (both of which I'm trying to catch up)]

9. Nina Lane
This author knows how to write a sweet and sexy hero!! Her characters grab at your heart and her writing is simply wonderful.
[Read: Spiral of Bliss series and Break the Sky]

10. Julie James
Witty banter and sexiness galore! Her books always have me cracking up from the dialogue and character dynamics are spot on.
[Read and loved: FBI/US Attorney series]

Honorable mentions to K.A. Tucker, Lex Martin, Kylie Scott, Samantha Towle and J.A. Redmerski!
I haven't read many YA books yet but, so far, I am in love with Veronica Rossi.

Who are your all-time favorite authors? Do we have any in common?
I'd love to see your picks so leave a link in the comments and I'll be sure to stop by! :)

  3. Krista & Becca Ritchie are honestly such little gems in the self-pub world. Sometimes people can be a bit snobby re: self-pubbed authors, but they're just proof that there are amazing writers out there that don't go the traditional route

  8. I love some of the books you have picked, I honestly really like the Addicted series, I don't love it, but I find the concept and plot pretty fantastic. It's something very unique in New Adult. Amour Amour has been on my TBR for sometime now, I'm hoping to bump it up soon & get started reading on it. Wonderful picks overall <3 Benish | Feminist Reflections
